General Instructions

Read the following instructions carefully


The examination is of 2 hours duration. There are a total of 40 questions carrying 100 marks.
The entire paper is divided into two sections, A and B. All sections are compulsory.
Questions in each section are of different types.

2. Section - A contains a total of 30 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). Each MCQ type
question has four choices out of which only one choice is the correct answer. Questions Q.1
– Q.30 belong to this section and carry 2 marks each with a total of 60 marks.

3. Section - B contains a total of 10 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). Each MCQ type
question is similar to MCQ but with a difference that there may be one or more than one
choice(s) that are correct out of the four given choices. The candidate gets full credit if
he/she selects all the correct answers only and no wrong answers. Questions Q.31 - Q.40
belong to this section and carry 4 marks each with a total of 40 marks.

5. In all sections, questions not attempted will result in zero mark. In Section - A (MCQ), wrong
answer will result in NEGATIVE marks. For all 2 marks question, 2/3 marks will be deducted
for each wrong answer. In Section - B (MSQ), there is NO NEGATIVE and NO PARTIAL
marking provisions. There is NO NEGATIVE marking.
6. Only Virtual Scientific Calculator is allowed. Charts, graph sheets, tables, cellular phone or
other electronic gadgets are NOT allowed in the examination hall.
7. The Scribble Pad will be provided for rough work.


    1. Total duration of the examination is 120 minutes.
    2. The clock will be set at the server. The countdown timer at the top, right-hand side of the screen will display the time available for you to complete the examination. When the timer reaches zero, the examination will end automatically. You will be required to submit your examination.
    3. The Question Palette displayed on the right-hand side of the screen will show the status of each question using one of the following.

  1. Click on ↑↓ , which appears to the top side of Question Palette to maximize the Question Area. To view the Question Palette again, click on ↑↓, which appears to the top side of Question Area.

Saving your answer :

  1. To save your answer, you MUST click on the Save & Next button. To mark the question for review, click on the Mark for Review & Next button.
  2. After the elapse of time scheduled for the examination (60 minutes), all the answers (including those “Answered and Marked for Review”) will be automatically submitted.

Navigating through sections:

  1. Sections in this question paper are displayed above the Question Area. Questions in a section can be viewed by clicking on the section name. The section you are currently viewing is highlighted.
  2. After clicking the Save & Next button on the last question of any section, you will automatically be taken to the first question of the next section.
  3. You can shuffle between sections and questions anytime during the examination.
